Italy Charme: Website Design & WordPress Development for a Premium Italian Tours Operator
Private villas, historic castles and handcrafted tours across Italy, from a company whose reputation had outgrown its website. A full rebrand and relaunch, finally as good as the trips themselves.
The Challenge
Italy Charme already had an established client base and a strong reputation for curated premium tours, but the existing site wasn’t doing that reputation justice – it needed a full rebrand and relaunch rather than a patch-up. I was brought in for both the design and the WordPress build, so the challenge was making sure the new site actually looked and felt as premium as the trips themselves – private villas, historic castles, and experiences that need to read as considered rather than templated – while keeping the whole thing genuinely fast and easy to manage day to day.
There was also a technical piece post-launch: the site’s sitemap wasn’t being picked up properly in Google Search Console, which was limiting how much of the site – dozens of tour and destination pages – was actually getting indexed.

The Outcome
I designed and built a site that matches the calibre of what Italy Charme actually sells – refined, image-led, and unmistakably premium rather than generic travel-template. The rebrand gave the whole site a coherent visual identity across every tour, region, and package.
Once I traced the indexing issue back to the hosting CDN blocking Googlebot and got it resolved, the sitemap started being crawled properly and the site’s full page set became visible to Google as intended.
